Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Install and maintain park signage, closures, trail markings, fencing and banner tape.

  • Monitor terrain features by visual inspection and testing according to company policy.

  • Maintain ongoing monitoring and maintenance of terrain features and equipment in the parks.

  • Assists with special events including erection and maintenance of equipment.

  • Follow directions from Supervisor and Manager.

  • Provide a high level of guest service and guest interaction, while ensuring riders are informed of park specifics and difficulty level.

  • Perform all job functions in a way that is safe, timely, and professional.

  • Assist with special events including set up, event operation, and tear down as required.

  • Always wearing a safety helmet when riding features while working.

  • Has verified Park maintenance and riding skills by TSG Park crew or documented from another ski area.

  • Provide proper communication with both lift operations and ski patrol dispatch.

  • Provide vision and planning with design and construction of terrain park features and transitions.

  • Performs supervisory responsibilities when supervisors are absent.

  • Support TSG’s vision, mission, and goals.

  • Adhere to all TSG policies and procedures listed in the employee handbook.

  • Understand and apply the Skier Responsibility Code and Colorado Skier Safety Act.

  • Acknowledges and promotes Park Safety as a priority.

Supervisory Responsibilities:        

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:                   

No minimum education requirement. Must have terrain park riding experience and skills.

Language Skills:                   

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:                   

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

Reasoning Ability:                   

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:                   

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Explorer Internet software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office Suite Word Processing software.               

Other Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.

  • Must be able to function effectively at elevations of 10,000 feet or higher.

  • Must be able to function effectively in inclement weather conditions.

  • Advanced level of skiing/riding ability, including the ability to confidently and safely hit jumps of 40' and slide most rails and boxes.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee may be exposed to risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but can be extreme when working around heavy equipment, chainsaws, etc.
