About The Role

Our sales teams work directly with notable brands and entrepreneurs to develop their commerce strategies — whether that is starting or expanding their e-commerce or brick & mortar operations.

We are actively seeking driven Sales Leads to join our team as Sales Managers for key roles within our Sales Acquisition teams:

  • Enterprise Sales Manager, France and DACH (Position located in France)
  • Sales Manager, UKI

You’ll be working on things like:

  • Coaching Account Executives to achieve their personal and professional development goals
  • Managing team functions and rituals: stand-ups and 1:1s, coaching plans, team building activities etc.
  • Collaborating with teams across Shopify to build infrastructure for a growing team and customer base
  • Providing input on marketing and product priorities
  • Reporting to your lead on performance, market conditions, fluctuations in numbers and team growth/development potential or needs
  • Attending coaching sessions with senior leads to develop your management skills
  • Creating and implementing processes and tools to reflect best practices
  • Hiring people with the character and competency needed to deliver great merchant experiences
  • Onboarding new comers on product, team structure and organization
  • Building upon our awesome, team oriented culture


Qualifications

  • Proficiency in English is required for all roles
  • Additionally, fluency at a native or bilingual level in French (proficiency in German is a plus) is mandatory for the role in France.
  • Prior experience in sales leadership
  • Experience leading a high-performance sales team in a fast paced environment
  • An understanding of how to build teams and culture considering recruitment, people development and coaching
  • The ability to leverage data to inform coaching, feedback and development conversations
  • Experience with regular call coaching as well as team metrics and results; managing for performance
  • Utilized quantitative methods to measure, manage, and optimize efforts and allocation of resources
  • A growth mindset and a strong desire to continuously improve your skill set and your teams
  • Optimize the use of our sales technology across the team, driving efficiency and best practices
  • A collaborative mindset to proactively work with both your peers and cross-functional teams to make our people, our merchants and Shopify better
