What Are We Looking For

MultiplyMii is seeking a talented and motivated Data Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data pipelines and systems to connect, process, and analyze data for our analytics and business intelligence initiatives. In This Role, You Will

  • Implement data pipelines and systems to connect and process data for analytics and BI systems.
  • Document systems and source-to-target mappings for transparency and understanding.
  • Re-engineer manual data flows to enable scaling and repeatable use, enhancing efficiency.
  • Follow and contribute to best practice guidelines, continuously striving for improvement.
  • Write clean, secure, and well-tested code to ensure reliability and maintainability.
  • Operate the services and pipelines you build, proactively identifying and resolving issues in production.
  • Assess and prioritize feature requests based on business needs and technical feasibility.
  • Identify opportunities to reuse existing data flows, promoting efficiency and reducing redundancy.
  • Collaborate closely with other team members and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • Implement data quality checks and validation processes to identify and resolve data anomalies.
  • Provide support for business intelligence report development, ensuring reusability and efficiency.

About You

Core qualifications:

  • Strong background in Software Engineering with proficiency in Python development (> 3 years experience).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Understanding of industry-recognized data modeling patterns and standards and their practical application.
  • Familiarity with data security and privacy principles, ensuring compliance with governance and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database management.
  • Experience in API implementation and integration, with an understanding of REST principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of validation libraries like Marshmallow or Pydantic.
  • Expertise in Pandas or similar libraries for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Linux) and modern development practices, including infrastructure deployment (DevOps).
  • Proficiency in code versioning tools such as Git/GitHub, and experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., CircleCI).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with Airflow for workflow orchestration.
  • Experience with the GCP stack (e.g., CR, CF, GCS, Secret Manager).
