At Warner Music Group (WMG), we recognize the value of using data to help make our most important business decisions, including activities like finding and signing new artists, promoting songs, benchmarking performance, and beyond.

The Product Analytics team within WMG aims to understand and develop insights about these kinds of business problems, with an eye towards product development and strategy. The person in this role will work closely with Product Management, Engineering, User Research, and Design as the analytical expert, using data to drive better decisions across the business.

Responsibilities

Develop a thorough understanding of our complex datasets and interpret them as they relate to understanding our artists, songs, and fans and other new product development

Communicate insights clearly across functions and multiple levels of the organization

Analytical thought-partner on problem definition, KPI and metrics development, data visualization, and implementation of analytical/statistical models.

Design, analyze, and report on experiments to understand impact of new product features and make recommendations about launches.

Proactively find opportunities for improvement across the business and assist in decision-making across teams

Requirements

5 or more years of full-time, hands-on experience as a Product Analyst or similar role

Expert SQL skills

Proficiency with one of Python or R

Experience with a data visualization tool (we use Tableau)

Strong understanding of statistical concepts, including causal inference techniques and regression modeling

Strong written communication and presentation skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Proven history of decision-making excellence and cross-functional influence through insights

Bachelor’s Degree or above in a quantitative field (such as Statistics, Economics, etc)

$100,000 - $130,000 a year

Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
