We are looking for a Software Application Tester for our WhistleBlower Security (WBS) Brand to join our Platform Team. WBS helps companies protect their employees, culture, and business through world-class hotline services and software for capturing, investigating, and preventing compliance, ethics, harassment, and discrimination reports.


In this role (remote-first), you will play an important role in ensuring quality solutions are delivered to our customers. You will be managing testing activities to certify that the software will perform per the specifications and will work closely with the Platform department to structure a test strategy that supports our deliveries.


Please note: While this is a remote position, we are looking for someone willing and able to work PST Time zone.


What You’ll Do

  • Implement test plans and create test scenarios and test cases
  • Perform functional and regression testing
  • Debug issues and conduct exploratory testing to identify root cause of issues
  • Report defects and issues that occurred during the test process
  • Attend daily stand-ups to report on testing progress and identify and impediments
  • Prioritize and implement multiple activities in parallel
  • Engage in peer reviews, requirements, code, design, and test
  • Take ownership of the quality of the product, reproduce customer issues, and perform root cause analysis for test escapes
  • Work with developers to capture root causes and symptom artifacts (e.g., logs)

What We're Looking For

  • Graduate of a university or college program in any of the following areas: math, computer science, programming or engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of Software Testing methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Ability to implement various Test Design Techniques
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Preferred experience working with JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence, GitHub, and Jenkins
  • Experience working with test management tools (Testmo, TestRail or similar)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment
  • Well organized, result oriented, self-motivated, collaborative
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and troubleshoot problems and issues
  • Experience with writing automated tests using JavaScript testing frameworks (Playwright)
