Sub-Saharan AfricaResponsibilities:Sub-Saharan Africa

  • Sub-Saharan AfricaAct as local appointed Responsible Manager representative for the Australian Financial Services License (AFSL) based in Australia.
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaMaintain a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements related to AFSL and AML/CTF compliance specifically for non-cash payment services, client monies and other fin-tech regulations.
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaDevelop and monitor AML and KYC programs as required for AFSL Compliance.Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaMonitor and continuously improve the implementation of compliance policies and procedures within the organisation to ensure adherence to regulatory standards in assigned regions.Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaReview and update Product Disclosure, Financial Service Guide and other relevant disclosure documentation to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaAct as the key point of contact with local regulators (e.g. ASIC, AUSTRAC).Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaUndertake and implement required reporting to authorities (Annual audit, client money and ASIC disclosure reports, AUSTRAC AML and CTF reporting as required).Sub-Saharan Africa

  • Sub-Saharan AfricaMaintain and review required insurances and other mandatory items required for local AFSL requirements.

  • Sub-Saharan AfricaProvide reports for board and compliance committee meetings.
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaProvide training and guidance to staff on compliance matters, including regulatory updates and best practices.Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaEfficiently execute KYC, KYB, Enhanced Due Diligence and other payment-related compliance reviews to safeguard our customers, our partners, and our business and assist with other markets as required including New Zealand.
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaDevelop procedures and controls to prevent, detect, and mitigate financial crime risks.Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaAssist with investigations on potentially suspicious clients, users, and partners.Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaParticipate in the development and enhancement of anti-fraud and anti-money laundering systems, tools, and technologies to improve detection capabilities and operational efficiency.Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaCoordinate with internal cross-functional teams including Compliance, Risk Management, and Legal on customer requests or issues.

Sub-Saharan AfricaQualifications:Sub-Saharan Africa

  • Sub-Saharan AfricaTertiary qualification in Commerce/Business/Law or a related field.Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Sub-Saharan Africa5+ years of proven experience in compliance within a financial services environment.
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaExperience in either FinCrime operations, AML compliance, or related fields, preferably within the payroll industry or financial services and payments sector.Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaRelevant qualifications and experience to meet the requirements of the local Responsible Manager position.
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaPrior experience as a Responsible Manager for an AFSL preferably under a non-cash payments authorisation. Experience in Fin-Tech industry highly regarded.
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaRelevant post-grad qualifications / accreditations for AFSL management to meet RG146.
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaStrong understanding and knowledge of applicable legislative/regulatory requirements relating to AFSL and AML/CTF.Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaHighly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, high attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills.Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaAbility to work independently, prioritise tasks and work across multiple departments and geographical regions.
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaExperience with regulatory authorities and payment service licenses in other jurisdictions (ideally in APAC) a plus - but not mandatory.
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaRelevant AML qualifications (ACAMS Certificate or equivalent).Sub-Saharan Africa
