The Fort Hills Team is seeking a Maintenance Planning and Scheduling student to join our team! This role is a unique hybrid that combines aspects of both the Maintenance Planning and Reliability Engineering role.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret Equipment Strategy into actionable tasks by developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs
  • Sustainment of preventive maintenance programs to ensure comprehensive work order generation - includes maintenance strategy, maintenance items/plans/task lists and related foundational SAP and GE APM system elements
  • Review, sustain and optimize master data (functional locations, BOMS, Work Centers, order controls, material masters, inventory levels)
  • Understand BU (Reliability, Maintenance, and Planning) requirements to configure and group preventative maintenance programs to optimize scheduling capability
  • Provide program forecast for budgeting purposes and to optimize material planning
  • Ensure compliance to all relevant Suncor policies and standards, including the Management of Change (MoC) process and M&R business processes
  • Work closely with Maintenance Execution, Planning & Scheduling, Reliability, Operations and supporting functions such as SCM and Finance to develop seamless interfaces between functions, in order to enable the safe, consistent and reliable work selection, planning, scheduling and execution of all maintenance activities within the affected site

Minimum Requirements:

  • Enrolled and in good standing for a Mechanical Engineering undergraduate degree

Location and other Key Details:

  • This role is located at our Fort Hills mining site, located in Alberta’s Athabasca region, 90 kilometres north of Fort McMurray, Alberta
  • The shift schedule is a four days on/three days off rotation
  • This is a Fly-in/Out (Calgary Hub) role where you will be staying at our on-site camp
