Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio and video recordings into written documents with a high level of accuracy
- Ensure transcriptions adhere to established guidelines and standards
- Review and edit transcriptions for errors or inconsistencies
- Research and verify any unclear information or terminology
- Prioritize and manage workload to meet assigned deadlines
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding any transcription-related queries or concerns
- Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a secure manner
- Proven experience as a Transcriptionist or in a similar role
- Proficient typing skills and excellent attention to detail
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling
- Ability to understand and transcribe multiple accents and dialects
- Proficient in using transcription software and tools
- Familiarity with legal, medical, or technical terminology is a plus
- Reliable internet connection and transcription equipment (i.e., headset, foot pedal)
- Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
