Intro And Job Overview

Develop and maintain simple to moderately complex Devops software components. Interface with software engineers to ensure they are following Devops processes.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Design, develop, and test new tools and changes to existing tools
• Address and resolve issue quickly and efficiently to ensure high quality by other software engineers
• Work in a collaborative environment with other members of Devops
• Investigate, analyze, debug, and solve complex problems
• Replicate software engineer tooling issues and work closely with them to resolve issues
• Adequately document and describe Devops tools and processes
• Continuously learn new technology, tools, systems, and sharing knowledge within the team
  
  

Requirements and Qualifications: .

• Minimum of 5 years development experience working with IBM Mainframes running z/OS operating system. Ideally, this is system level program development.
• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science program.
• Equivalent experience will be accepted in place of the education requirement.
• Minimum of 2 years’ IBM z Assembly and REXX language experience.
• Working knowledge of major z/OS ecosystem and subsystem components - JES, DFSMS, WLM, DB2, CICS, RACF, SMF, VSAM, IMS, MQ, ZOSMF and USS.
• Proficiency in use of systems tools and utilities – JCL, SDSF, IDCAMS.
• Experience with ServiceNow administration.
• Experience with SCOM administration.
• Experience with Git/Bitbucket.
• Windows Server Administrator with Domain/Active Directory knowledge
• Microsoft SQL Server database knowledge
• Linux OS administrator knowledge
• OpenText/Microfocus Operations Bridge Manager and Universal CMDB Administrator Knowledge
• Docker container knowledge is a plus
