Who we are looking for

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Business Analyst with experience in software development projects to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in business process analysis, requirements gathering, and Agile methodologies. This role requires an individual who can bridge the gap between IT and the business, translating complex requirements into actionable project plans and ensuring alignment with business goals.


Responsibilities

  • Analyzing the market, competitors, and target audience to understand industry trends and gather insights that influence product development strategies.
  • Identifying buyer personas of target users of a product to tailor solutions that meet their specific needs and preferences.
  • Developing the value proposition to highlight the unique benefits and selling points of a product
  • Working with hypotheses and identifying product vision by collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the product aligns with business objectives and customer expectations.
  • Forming features set and product scope based on validated user needs and strategic business goals, ensuring a scalable product roadmap.
  • Modeling of business and operational processes.
  • Identifying, collecting, and formalizing product requirements through various elicitation techniques such as interviews, surveys, and observation.
  • Creating business, functional, and non-functional specifications that serve as a detailed guide for the development and quality assurance teams, ensuring all requirements are accurately implemented.
  • Product development road mapping and release planning, organizing the change management process to adapt to evolving requirements effectively.
  • Keeping the product backlog up to date, prioritizing items based on their strategic value and ensuring clear communication of changes to all team members.
  • Coordinating work of designers and the development team on the implementation of the product concept, ensuring that the design and functional implementations align with the business goals.
  • Determining product analysis metrics and analyzing the obtained data to measure product performance against business objectives and user satisfaction.
  • Performing acceptance testing and providing compliance with specifications, verifying that all product functionalities meet the defined criteria before market release.
  • Identifying stakeholders, managing cooperation between them, and ensuring stakeholder engagement throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Facilitating collaboration and communication between cross-functional teams to maintain a cohesive development environment and align on business goals.
  • Leading sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure continuous improvement in processes and product quality.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation for requirements, processes, and user guides to support transparency and sustainability.
  • Guiding and mentoring junior analysts in best practices, tools, and methodologies to foster a knowledgeable and efficient team.


Requirements

  • At least 1 year as a Business Analyst or Product Manager in an IT company or startup.
  • Advanced proficiency in English, capable of engaging in technical discussions and producing comprehensive documentation.
  • Experienced in using Communication Plans, RACI matrices, Stakeholder Registers and other management tools to manage communication and tasks exeution effectively.
  • Strong background in developing business requirements, product acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
  • Proficient in creating use-cases, data flows, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications in the “Given-When-Then” format.
  • Experience in forming non-functional requirements and creating detailed entity relationship diagrams, data flow diagrams, and UML diagrams.
  • Solid understanding of business process modeling with knowledge of BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation).
  • Deep understanding of the SDLC and best practices in a software development environment.
  • Proficient in Agile methodologies with practical experience in SCRUM environments, ability to act as a Product Owner and facilitate sprint plannings, reviews, and retrospectives if there is such a need.
  • Ability to conduct thorough market, environment, and competitor analysis with the skill to draw qualitative, sound conclusions from research.
  • Exceptional ability to explain complex concepts in simple language and engage in productive dialogue.
  • Willingness to take responsibility for the quality of work performed and initiative to continuously engage with new subject areas (domains).
  • Knowledge of strategic planning tools such as Lean Canvas, Business Canvas, Operating Canvas, Project Canvas, and Value Proposition Canvas.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues effectively.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams, with the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Flexible in adapting to changes with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Encourages innovation and continuous improvement, not only following best practices but also creating new ones.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into effective product features, enhancing user satisfaction and engagement.
