What you'll be working on
- Tracking industry trends and identifying promising new technologies
- Formulating investment theses in emerging technologies such as Web3, AI, metaverse and gaming
- Sourcing and analyzing investment opportunities along the investment thesis
- Conducting due diligence on startup companies in these fields
- Writing investment recommendations
- Building long term relationships with founders, investors and ecosystem partners to source deals and grow companies
- Evaluating business models and market potential of early-stage startup companies
- Preparing investment analyses and presentations for the investment committee
- Partnering with portfolio companies to support their growth post-investment
- Monitoring portfolio company performance and reporting updates to management
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or data science
- 2-3 years of work experience in product management, business development or strategy consulting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to evaluate qualitative and quantitative data
- Experience with or knowledge of emerging technologies like blockchain, AI and virtual/augmented reality preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting to stakeholders
