In this role, you’ll transform customer prints into 3D models and optimized CNC programs, working closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure every job runs smoothly and efficiently. Work Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
  • Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm. Friday: 8:00am - 2:30pm

General Description of Duties:

  • Turn Prints into Precision: Create 3D models from customer drawings using SolidWorks and generate CNC programs in Mastercam.
  • Optimize Processes: Work with engineering and operators to determine the best process plans, tooling, and machining      strategies.
  • Program for Results: Focus primarily on CNC lathe programming (80–90%), with some CNC mill programming (10–20%).
  • Drive Improvement: Recommend process changes to reduce cycle times and improve quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure Accuracy: Follow company guidelines for file naming, documentation, and best manufacturing practices.
  • Collaborate and Support: Partner with production, engineering, customer service, and quality teams to ensure seamless      project execution.
  • Stay Consistent: Convert metric drawings to standard measurements when needed and ensure all documentation meets      customer and internal standards.


Requirements

Qualifications/Physical Demands:

  • Experience using any CAD and CAM software (SolidWorks and Mastercam preferred).
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
  • Hands-on knowledge of CNC machining or manufacturing processes (machinist background a plus).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and collaborate across departments.
  • Extended sitting necessary.
  • Occasional bending and stooping.
  • May be required to lift items up to 10 lbs.
