Summary
As a supervisor, you will effectively supervise an organization that forecasts, plans and coordinates Vegetation Management Programs for the Oncor System. In this role you will develop and maintain relationships across multiple organizations to meet customer and client needs. The position will effectively supervise a group of employees by ensuring consistent application of company policies and procedures while providing counsel to encourage career growth and employee development.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise an organization that proactively plans, analyzes and monitors Vegetation Management activities throughout the Oncor service territory. Supervise other work groups as assigned.
- Establish and promote Safety as a priority in all aspects of daily activities, including the design and operation of facilities to ensure personal and public safety. Hold employees accountable for their actions concerning safety.
- Maintain a work environment in compliance with Company policies and guidelines that will promote employee success with emphasis on (but not limited to): Company policies, safety, diversity, communication, continuous process improvement, and employee development.
- Promote a positive proactive team building atmosphere with other internal organizations to ensure internal and external stakeholder needs are met.
- Resolve issues by making good logical business decisions based on experience and interpretation of Company policies.
- Participate in multi-functional teams and serve in leadership roles as needed.
- Implement and supervise processes to ensure proper storm assistance is provided as needed from this work group as well as assisting in storm restoration efforts as needed.
- Responsible for implementing processes related to the achievement of business and financial performance objectives and customer satisfaction goals as determined by company.
- Analyze workload to ensure sufficient and appropriate resources are available to meet objectives.
- Demonstrate ability to improve efficiency of work processes, ability to manage highly sensitive and intense situations, and ability to use innovation in solving problems.
- Refine, develop and implement system-wide process improvements for the Vegetation Management programs.
- Implement employee development plans, performance appraisals, salary administration and schedule/conduct employee information and training sessions.
- Perform all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirements.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in forestry or related field is encouraged to apply.
- Certification or advanced credentials like ISA (International Arboricultural Society) are encouraged to apply.
- 5 plus years of work-related experience (preferably in a Vegetation Management program management role) is required.
- 2 plus years in a leadership/supervisory role is encouraged to apply.
