Hydraulics International, Inc (HII) seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Jr. Project Engineer, with SolidWorks experience to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers and project managers to support various aspects of project planning, execution, and management, while also utilizing your SolidWorks skills for CAD design and modeling tasks.
CAD Design: Using SolidWorks software to create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings for project components and systems.
Prototype Development: Assisting in the design and development of prototypes using SolidWorks models, including conducting feasibility studies and collaborating with manufacturing teams.
Design Analysis: Performing design analysis and simulations using SolidWorks Simulation or other relevant software to evaluate the performance, strength, and reliability of project designs.
Collaboration with Manufacturing: Working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure that SolidWorks designs are compatible with production processes and manufacturing requirements.
Product Documentation: Generating technical documentation, such as bill of materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and technical specifications, using SolidWorks Composer or other documentation tools.
Design Modifications: Assisting in making design modifications and revisions based on feedback from senior engineers, project managers, or manufacturing teams.
Integration with Other Software: Integrating SolidWorks designs with other software tools and systems, such as product lifecycle management (PLM) software, to manage design data and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Training and Support: Providing training and support to team members on the use of SolidWorks software and best practices for CAD design and modeling.
Version Control: Managing version control of SolidWorks files and ensuring that the latest revisions are accurately documented and communicated to stakeholders.
Continuous Learning: Staying updated on the latest features and capabilities of SolidWorks software through training programs, webinars, and professional development opportunities.
In summary, a Junior Project Engineer with SolidWorks experience would combine project engineering responsibilities with proficiency in CAD design using SolidWorks software, contributing to the successful execution of engineering projects from design to manufacturing.
Salary Expectations:
$22hr - $25hr
