Position Summary: 

Manager, Commercial Analytics is a key role on the Commercial Operations team.  Vericel prides itself on its analytic driven decision-making and this position plays a critical role in evaluating the effectiveness of our business strategies, brand and program performance as well as communicating those assessments broadly within our organization. 

This manager works in close alignment with Vericel’s Burn Care and Sports Medicine sales franchises as well as Marketing, Market Access and Commercial leadership teams to provide analytic and quantitative support for sales execution, brand strategy and marketing tactics. This position entails unique cross functional responsibilities that will drive commercial and strategic decision making.

Schedule: 

This position is in-office from Monday – Thursday in our new Burlington, MA location, with flexibility to work remotely on Fridays. 

Position Scope: 

  • Assess and report regularly on commercial sales performance, including territory-level sales activity, reach/frequency of promotional activity, and customer segmentation/targeting.
  • Refine, track, and report regularly on Key Performance Indicators, including longer term territory trends analyses.
  • Lead periodic salesforce sizing and sales territory mapping analyses.
  • Track and report regularly on marketing analytics, including the utilization of resources, impact of marketing activities, and other customer-facing programs.
  • Conduct assessments and report on vendor performance across digital and social media platforms, including effectiveness of promotional activities (e.g., advertising, MD programs)
  • Support market research efforts across Vericel’s burn and sports medicine franchises, support near-term commercial forecasting with implications for corporate revenue guidance.
  • Ownership of strategic reporting projects (e.g., disease landscape assessments, competitive intelligence).
  • Manage and make recommendations regarding data sources (both for current and potential new sources).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a finance, economics, mathematics or accounting.
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience in Biotech or consulting. Strong technical/analytical skills to identify and solve problems.
  • Understanding of market research methodology and data analysis.
  • Ability to develop analysis and presentations with standard tools (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in a wide range of software applications particularly Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills a must as well as balance of MS suite.   
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently; strong time management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to interface with all levels of management and multiple departments.
  • Track record for completing assignments on-time and on-budget.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with experience incorporating diverse perspectives into project decision-making.
  • Entrepreneurial with a bias toward action; resourceful, tenacious and results oriented. Enjoys working in a fast-paced, small-company environment.
  • Experience with CRM systems a plus.
