Innovate the Future of Software Intelligence 

As a Senior Infrastructure & Security Operations Engineer at our cutting-edge intelligence firm, you'll be a driving force behind our mission to revolutionize the software intelligence landscape. In this role, you'll play a hands-on role supporting and scaling the infrastructure, deployment and operational systems behind mission-critical intelligence platforms used by government and security organizations. 

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in startup environments, cares deeply about reliability and security, and enjoys partnering closely with engineering to ship and operate high-impact systems. 

About the Role 

Cloud Infrastructure & Platform 

• Build, operate and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Entra, Office 365 E5) used to power our product suite.   
• Monitor system health, logs and alerts, support incident response and post incident reviews 
• Implement robust testing, security, and data protection protocols 
• Automate operational tasks and improve system reliability and observability  
• Maintain backup, disaster recovery and data protection practices 

Security & Compliance 

• Embed security best practices across infrastructure, endpoints and access control
• Assist with vulnerability management, patching and audit readiness
• Handle sensitive systems and data with discretion and care
• Partner closely with development, security and customer-facing teams
• Contribute to a culture of operational excellence, security and accountability
• Support SOC 2, ASD E8 and ISO27001 audit

Internal System Engineer

• Oversee critical internal systems related to identity, access, permissions and secure developer workflows, with a strong security mindset
• Maintain secure developer workflows where applicable
• Support internal productivity platforms (O365 E5, Sharepoint)
• Improve internal automation and integrations
• Maintain clear documentation for internal IT and security processes

Internal IT & Support 

• Provide technical support for employees across devices, operating systems, and internal tools
• Own device onboarding/offboarding, inventory, and endpoint security
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, VPN, and SSO issues

Requirements

• Must be an Australia citizen or permanent resident
• Must have or able to hold a AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance
• 5+ years of experience in IT support, DevOps, or a related role owning the IT operational backbone of a high paced SaaS company
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, Linux, macOS
• Microsoft 365 E5 suite administration
• SharePoint Administration
• Experience supporting cloud infrastructure and modern DevOps tooling
• Expertise in designing and developing high-performance, secure architectures
• A passion for staying ahead of the curve with emerging technologies
• Strong problem-solving skills to tackle complex technical challenges
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems and deployment workflows
• Comfort scripting or automating tasks (Bash, Python, PowerShell etc.)
• Strong judgment, discretion, and attention to detail
• Clear communicator who enjoys supporting both technical and non-technical teammates
• Experience with systems integrations
• Track record of thriving in a start-up / scaleup environment preferred
