We are seeking a Systems Administrator with a strong English level to join our team. Here are the challenges that our next warrior will face and the requirements we look for:

Position Title: Mid+ to Senior Systems Administrator

Location: Remote - LATAM

What you will be doing:

The System Administrator will provide comprehensive IT support, manage the help desk from Level 1 to Level 3, and support internal and external customers. This role is unique as it combines traditional system administration duties with help desk support. The candidate will be the sole IT team member under the IT Manager, requiring a broad skill set and the ability to handle various tasks. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide Level 1 to Level 3 support for internal staff and external customers.
  • Handle remote work tasks including user creation, onboarding processes, endpoint management, remote support, and troubleshooting.
  • Research solutions and maintain current systems, evaluate and replace the current platform for managing computer repairs and customer databases.
  • Identify a modern system that meets the company's needs and assist with its integration and implementation.
  • Manage peripherals and configurations for both internal and external customers.
  • Ensure system security, manage vulnerabilities and apply necessary updates.
  • Serve as the primary technical resource and provide support for various IT needs.
  • Maintain and upgrade the existing platform for computer repairs and customer database management.
  • Research and recommend new systems or software to meet company needs, assisting with integration and implementation.
  • Manage and support operating systems including macOS, Windows, and Linux (specifically in a production environment hosted on AWS).
  • Ensure endpoint protection through tools such as Microsoft 365, Windows Intune Defender, and Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Learn, understand, and assist in the implementation of cybersecurity tools and practices, including SOC2 compliance and vulnerability scanning with AWS Nessus.
  • Collaborate with consultants to configure cybersecurity tools and manage security operations.
  • Manage email server technologies including Outlook, Microsoft 365 (Mail Host), and Gmail.
  • Oversee basic network security measures and configurations.
  • Work with NetSuite, SQL, and queries as required.
  • Provide support and management for AWS-hosted databases.

Requirements & Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Experience in a help desk role, providing support from L1 to L3.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office 365 (M365) email server management.
  • Understanding of Gmail email server.
  • Experience with the following tools and practices is a plus: SOC2 compliance, Windows Intune Defender, SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), Microsoft Sentinel, AWS Nessus (vulnerability scanning)
  • Experience managing macOS, Windows, and Linux operating systems.
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity tools and endpoint protection practices.
  • Familiarity with database technologies like NetSuite and SQL is a plus.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (preferred).
  • Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as JavaScript or Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
  • Certifications in relevant IT fields (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, AWS) would be beneficial.
  • Previous experience working in a smaller company or startup environment (preferred).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
