The CSCP organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as plan, source, make, deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), sustainability, and decommissioning of datacenter assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is supported by more than 300 datacenters around the world that enable services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries.

The Cloud Supply Chain Engineering (CSCP-SCE) group is an exciting and fast-evolving engineering group within Microsoft that powers Microsoft’s Cloud-first mission. We are responsible for supporting the supply chain that powers Microsoft's cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities

• Experience in system design and solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems. • Hands‑on experience building, operating, and maintaining distributed systems or cloud‑based services. • Design and implement microservices to enable real time, highly scalable, performant, and sustainable solutions. • Experience with containerized workloads and Kubernetes. • Experience using telemetry, metrics, logging, and alerts to monitor system health and diagnose live‑site issues. • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity in complex systems. • Deep understanding on security aspects of software like authentication, authorization, encryption, etc. • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams. • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in software development using .Net (C#, Web API, REST). SQL • Familiarity with AI platforms.
