Description
The Quality Assurance Supervisor will perform random case reviews to evaluate Telecommunicators performance of receiving and handling calls for service and/or dispatching in accordance with established PSAP policies and procedures. The results of these reviews ensures that Blair County Department of Emergency Services is compliant with PEMA Standards Law Title 35, 911 training, Certification and Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement Requirements. Telecommunicator Supervisor will oversee the 911 Emergency Communication Center operations; to supervise Telecommunicators and coordinate 911 Center operations with emergency service providers.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency degree required. Must meet minimum requirements as a certified telecommunicator, including active certifications in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillator (AED), emergency medical dispatching (EMD), emergency police dispatching (EPD), and emergency fire dispatching (EFD), and emergency medical technician and hazmat training. Must be certified through CLEAN/NCIC. Working knowledge in computer-aided dispatch (CAD) required. Comprehensive knowledge of theories, principles, techniques, and practices of public safety communications environment. Considerable knowledge of police, fire, emergency medical service, and emergency management operations. Minimum of three years progressive work experience in 911 services, two years supervisory experience; knowledge of principles of management; ability to plan, delegate, and oversee work. Must possess comfort making decisions independently. Demonstrated experience setting schedules and meeting deadlines.
