Launched in 2023, Laniakea is a lean, high-growth hedge fund specializing in relative value (RV) volatility strategies across multiple asset classes. Our small team is spread across London, Sydney, Chicago and NYC, and as a young startup, we’re looking for interns who are excited to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Qualities that make you a great candidate:

• Pursuing a degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Strong analytical skills and a keen interest in financial markets.

• Basic understanding of programming languages such as Python or C++ is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

• Self-motivated and eager to learn in a dynamic startup environment.

• Permanent legal authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the trading team in analyzing market trends and performance data.

• Support operational tasks to ensure seamless trading processes.

• Contribute to research projects and data analysis related to trading strategies.

• Participate in team meetings, providing insights and recommendations based on analysis.

• Gain exposure to various aspects of hedge fund operations and trading.
