POSITION PURPOSE:
The summer intern will assist the CAM Services team with ongoing projects, data analysis, and administrative tasks throughout the summer, with the possibility of spending half of the time collaborating with the Business Analytics team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Review and extract CAM clauses from lease agreements, ensuring accurate updates and validation of occupancy information in CAM files.
  • Analyze CAM expense pools in the Yardi CAM module, identify variances, and provide a comprehensive report.
  • Organize and document processes related to CAM Pool setup in the system for P&P.
  • Maintain and summarize meeting logs for reference and follow-ups.
  • Run the tenant charge register reports and enter the data into the files.
  • Perform data cleanup and tracking to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with other departments and third-party consulting firms to streamline communication and follow-ups.
  • Assist with various ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.
  • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (including certification, licenses, etc.)

  • Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program; Minimum GPA 3.2.
  • Interest in the working of accounting and analytics.
  • Strong critical thinker who is a strong self-starter.
  • High level of proficiency in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Demonstrate the highest personal ethics and integrity.
  • Paid; 30-32 hours per week at CIM’s office in Los Angeles, CA.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbal.
  • Able to write correspondence and/or reports.
  • Ability to effectively present information to managers and 3rd party consulting firms.
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Deadline-driven and able to manager multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively evaluate/address work opportunities within the area of responsibility.
  • Ability to solve practical problems.

    Actual base salary considers several factors, including but not limited to geography, job-related knowledge, experience, and budget. The start of the salary range is typically associated with the minimum experience required. The role is considered non-exempt so will be eligible for overtime pay in accordance with federal and state law. At CIM, this role has the potential to receive a discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The anticipated base pay for the position in Los Angeles, CA is $20 per hour.
