Minimum qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Policy, Law, Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related field.or equivalent practical experience.

15 years of experience in power markets, European market execution, and energy purchasing, with experience navigating regulatory landscapes and political nuances regarding energy strategy and policy.
-
10 years of leadership experience (i.e., public or private sector) with energy markets, technologies, and regulatory frameworks in roles requiring experience of infrastructure, generation, capacity, allocation, transmission, energy markets, renewable energy technologies, and environmental regulations.
Preferred qualifications:

Experience working with multilateral organizations.

Experience and knowledge of US energy regulatory processes.

Ability to solve nebulous multi-stakeholder challenges.

Exceptional verbal and written communication and project management skills.

As Director, you will be responsible for ensuring Google’s ability to both grow and risk manage its power expense through management of energy regulatory engagement to support Google’s infrastructure goals. You will utilize an understanding of European data center regulation, electricity market structuring, and energy policy. You will navigate complex political environments, while bringing creative approaches to infrastructure development, power procurement, and sustainability.
