Introduction

IBM Legal is modernizing how legal work is done across the enterprise. We are hiring a Legal Operations Specialist to support the deployment, adoption, and optimization of global legal capabilities including workflow automation, AI‑driven contract analysis, matter management, litigation and IP analytics, and legal content management systems. This role sits in a global Legal Center of Excellence and enables legal professionals to work more efficiently, consistently, and data‑driven. In this role, you will impact the following:

  • Improved efficiency and consistency across global legal teams

  • Increased adoption and value realization for AI and workflow tools

  • Better user experience and internal customer satisfaction

  • Stronger data-driven decision-making and operational visibility

Your role and responsibilities

• Support global rollout and ongoing operation of AI tools, workflows, and legal content systems.

• Help legal teams across functions and geographies use new tools effectively, solve issues, and adopt best practices.

• Develop internal customer success content such as FAQs, user guides, videos, tutorials, and enablement materials.

• Respond to user questions via Slack, shared mailboxes, and training sessions.

• Maintain and update legal playbooks, guidance, and content in IBM’s workflow and content management platforms.

• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve user experience using AI and automation.

• Support data analysis, reporting, dashboards, and metrics related to legal operations.

• Partner with product owners, tech teams, and vendors to represent user needs and influence enhancements.

Required technical and professional expertise

• High‑energy, values driven, service‑oriented individual contributor who enjoys supporting global internal clients.

• Detail‑driven, organized, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.

• Strong communicator who can create clear, engaging user education materials.

• Comfortable working across cultures, geographies, and time zones.

• Affinity for legal technology, workflow automation, information management, and AI tools.

• Experience or interest in legal or regulatory environments; legal operations or legal experience a plus.

• Able to balance structure, process, and personalized guidance.

• Comfortable using Slack, email, collaboration tools, and participating in live training sessions.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Proficiency in legal technology, contract management and legal research tools.

  • Proficiency of lean and agile methodologies.

  • Prior in-house legal experience, ideally within a multinational company, would be advantageous.
