THE ROLE
We are looking for a Presales Lead to join ITRex, where modern engineering and applied AI meet real business impact. You will be responsible for shaping complex opportunities end-to-end, from initial exploration to signed contracts. Working closely with Sales and Delivery teams, you will lead discovery sessions with executive stakeholders, create strategic solutions grounded in both business and technical value, and ensure that engagements are feasible, profitable, and aligned with ITRex’s capabilities. You will act as a key partner in driving proposal quality, managing scope, and ensuring smooth handovers, all while protecting the company from unqualified or unprofitable work. Your Responsibilities
- Shape complex opportunities end-to-end - from early exploration through signed contracts.
- Lead and run client discovery workshops, define problem statements, and match business context with architectural decisions.
- Own solution design at a high level and coordinate input from architects, engineers, and SMEs as needed.
- Partner with Sales to build a compelling, coherent value story, approach, roadmap, and commercial model.
- Define delivery assumptions, team composition, timelines, effort estimates, and economic boundaries.
- Lead solution, feasibility, and risk reviews for high-impact deals.
- Represent ITRex solutions to client executives in confident, business-centric language.
- Ensure proposals meet internal profitability expectations and maintain high scoping accuracy.
- Build, document, and improve presales processes, standards, templates, and qualification frameworks.
- Support alignment across Sales, Delivery, and Customer Success to ensure smooth handovers and predictable project starts.
Requirements
Presales & Solution Strategy
- 5+ years in solution consulting, presales, or solution architecture for software, data, or AI engineering services.
- Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, data platforms, and AI/ML solution patterns.
- Confidence leading discovery workshops with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to turn client needs into clear problem statements, solution hypotheses, and engagement structures.
- Strength in defining scope boundaries, assumptions, dependencies, delivery models, and resource plans.
Commercial & Analytical Skills
- Fluency in pricing models, margin logic, and deal economics.
- Experience shaping profitable, feasible service engagements (not SaaS/product sales).
- Ability to evaluate feasibility, push back on weak requirements, and protect deal integrity.
- Experience contributing to proposal development, value narratives, and client-facing pitch materials.
Communication & Leadership
- Clear, confident communicator able to explain complex concepts in simple, business-oriented language.
- Comfortable presenting to C-level executives and guiding them through architectural and commercial decisions.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams (Sales, Delivery, Customer Success, SMEs).
- Experience establishing presales processes, standards, and best practices.
- High ownership mindset.
- English level: C2
