Job Summary:
The Senior Project Manager (PM3) will assist the State of Michigan Project Management Office in supporting the Michigan Department of Treasury on a multi-year, high-priority City Tax Modernization project. This role, part of the DTMB Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO), involves close collaboration with DTMB Agency Services technical teams and agency executives/stakeholders. The position requires managing complex, multi-vendor deployments in a hybrid work environment (2 days onsite, 3 days remote).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead global ERP integration projects (Oracle/SAP) with budgets exceeding $750M and teams of 20+ members.
- Provide PMO leadership and governance across technical and business teams.
- Oversee system architecture and integration across SaaS solutions.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules (5,000+ lines) using Clarity and MS Project.
- Prepare presentations for executives, managers, and project teams.
- Monitor and control project scope, schedule, cost, resources, quality, and risks.
- Ensure compliance with SUITE Project Management Methodology (PMM) and System Engineering Methodology (SEM).
- Manage change requests, corrective action plans, and vendor deliverables.
- Facilitate stakeholder interactions and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Deliver key project artifacts: Charter, Schedule, Budget, Communication Plan, Status Reports, Risk/Issue Management Plans, Change Requests, and Closeout Summary.
Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience:
- ERP Expertise: Oracle/SAP ERP experience; global ERP project management with $750M+ budget and 20+ team members (10+ years).
- IT Project Management: In-depth knowledge of industry best practices (7+ years).
- Proven record of delivering projects on time and on budget (7+ years).
- Experience with budgets, schedules, change requests, risk/issue logs (7+ years).
- Skilled in project portfolio management tools (e.g., Clarity) (5+ years).
- Advanced MS Project proficiency (5+ years).
- Experience managing multi-vendor environments in government settings (5+ years).
- Technical background: prior developer or senior technical PM experience (5+ years).
- Ability to oversee technical teams for SaaS integration (5+ years).
- Experience with COTS technology projects (5+ years).
Highly Desired:
- PMP Certification (3+ years).
