Drive the strategy and execution of Walmart’s Associate GenAI Platform algorithms—impacting 2.2 million associates worldwide. Own critical algorithmic decisions and apply cutting-edge LLMs, Generative AI, and advanced ML techniques to solve high-impact challenges. - Collaborate closely with People.AI product and business leaders.
- Work cross-functionally with product, data science, app development, and engineering teams to deliver impactful solutions.
- Identify new opportunities, develop prototypes, secure stakeholder buy-in, and communicate staffing needs.
- Present your team’s work to senior leadership and executives regularly.
- Build and optimize cloud-based architectures for scalable ML model deployment.
- Champion MLOps best practices—CI/CD, test automation, automated deployments, model retraining, and monitoring for continuous performance.
- Stay ahead of state-of-the-art ML techniques and foster a culture of learning and innovation.
- Proven experience leading teams both technically and as a formal manager.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex requirements.
- Deep expertise in designing and deploying scalable, distributed ML pipelines and services.
- Proficiency in key technologies: API design, distributed systems, Python (ML, APIs, workflows), cloud platforms (Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, Airflow, SQL.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to write production-quality code.
- Intellectual curiosity and passion for MLOps and cloud technologies.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.Option 2: 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
