The Position

The Financial Reporting Accountant will report directly to CSWI’s Senior Financial Reporting Manager. Primary responsibilities include the timely and accurate preparation of internal and external financial reports in compliance with SEC requirements and US GAAP and Corporate general ledger responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting:

  • Support the external reporting process, which includes 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and other required SEC filings. Responsibilities include the preparation of financial statements, footnotes and MD&A supporting documentation, as well as tie-out of financial statements and disclosures.
  • Collaborate with subsidiary financial and cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for financial reporting process.
  • Maintain internal controls and required documentation in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
  • Support internal and external financial and benefits audits.

Corporate General Accounting:

  • Prepare monthly general entries for Corporate, including monthly stock compensation expense, payroll and benefits accruals, depreciation and amortization and others.
  • Prepare monthly intercompany bills to re-charge expenses from Corporate to the businesses (i.e., audit, tax, consulting, legal and insurance invoices)
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Prepare Corporate expense account analysis.
  • Upload monthly trial balances into the OneStream consolidation system for 2 Corporate entities.
  • Process and pay invoices, expense reports, tax payments and Board of Directors compensation via EFT, wire or check, as applicable. 

    Experience and Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
    • CPA or CPA eligible desired, not required.
    • 2-4 years of overall work experience in public accounting or financial reporting for a public company.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work and thrive in a lean organization and manage multiple priorities effectively.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and regulations.
    • Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with stakeholders at different levels.
    • Proficiency with JDE, Workiva and OneStream preferred.
    • Strong PC skills- Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel (including calculations & formulas)
    • High ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
