Primary Responsibilities
This position serves as the primary data visualization and systems integration specialist responsible for transforming raw operational and financial data into actionable business intelligence that drives strategic decision-making across the organization. The role encompasses the design and implementation of automated reporting systems, creation of dynamic financial statements through Questica and AACOG's financial management system, and the strategic deployment of artificial intelligence solutions to optimize accounting, procurement, and grant management workflows through Airia, or a similar tool. Architect API-based integrations that enable communication between disparate systems, ensuring data integrity while eliminating redundant processes and creating measurable operational efficiencies. Work collaboratively with internal departments and external stakeholder in implementing and leading software implementations and process improvements that directly impact the organization's ability to meet compliance requirements, achieve performance metrics, and deliver transparent financial reporting to leadership and funding agencies as needed.
Tasks Performed
Design and develop interactive Power BI, Tableau, or Microsoft office dashboards and data visualizations that transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership and department heads. Create and maintain automated financial statements and reports using Questica budgeting software and AACOG's financial management system, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance; Implement and optimize artificial intelligence solutions to automate routine accounting processes, procurement workflows, and grant management tasks. Develop and maintain API connections between multiple software platforms including Questica, Power BI, Tableau, and Monday.com to enable real-time data synchronization. Lead cross-functional implementation projects for new software systems, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure successful deployment and adoption. Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and design automated solutions that reduce manual effort and improve data accuracy. Train end-users on new systems and visualization tools, creating documentation and conducting workshops to ensure organizational adoption. Monitor data quality across integrated systems, implementing validation rules and error-checking protocols to maintain data integrity. Collaborate with department management to understand reporting needs and develop customized solutions that support data-driven decision making. Troubleshoot system integration issues and coordinate with IT and vendors to resolve technical challenges. Maintain security protocols and access controls across all integrated systems to ensure data privacy and compliance. Generate ad-hoc reports and analyses in response to management requests and grant reporting requirements
Essential Functions
Manipulate and transform large datasets from multiple sources to create comprehensive visualizations and reports that meet organizational standards. Maintain proficiency in Power BI, Questica, Tableau, and Monday.com to ensure continuous system optimization and user support. Serve as the primary liaison between technical vendors and business units during software implementations and upgrades. Establish and maintain data governance standards across all integrated systems to ensure consistency and reliability. Meet strict deadlines for financial reporting, grant submissions, and regulatory compliance requirements. Provide technical leadership in evaluating new technologies and making recommendations for system enhancements. Supervise data quality assurance processes and coordinate with team members to resolve discrepancies. Respond to urgent data requests and system issues outside of normal business hours when necessary. Maintain current knowledge of emerging technologies in data analytics, AI, and system integration. Perform other duties as assigned to support the organization's data and technology initiatives while meeting established performance goals and objectives.
Desired Degree/Major
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Finance, Accounting or related field
Desired Job Experience/Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or systems integration roles. Demonstrated proficiency data modeling, and advanced visualization techniques. Experience with financial reporting systems and budgeting software, preferably Questica. Working knowledge of API development and integration methodologies. Experience implementing AI or machine learning solutions in business environments. Strong SQL skills and experience with database management systems. Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships and lead cross-functional projects Experience with Tableau, Monday.com, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Knowledge of government accounting principles and grant management processes. Familiarity with Python, R, or other programming languages for data manipulation. Project management certification (PMP, Agile, or similar). Strong presentation and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences. Experience in process automation and workflow optimization. Understanding of data security and compliance requirements in public sector organizations
