Job Summary:
This position provides financial support and leadership to the Company. Incumbent is responsible for timely and accurate accounting and financial reporting. Specific responsibilities include: prepare consolidations; coordinate and perform accounting functions necessary to achieve an accurate and timely general ledger month-end close; analysis and adjustment of balance sheet accounts and analysis of general ledger financial statements; prepare income tax provision on an annual basis; prepare year-end financial statements (consolidated balance sheet, income statement and cash flow) including footnote disclosures for the Company’s external auditors; lead bank compliance activities, be the Company’s technical expert on current and potential accounting guidance (this will include knowledge of existing accounting guidance and researching potential accounting issues and their effect on the Company); collaborate with Financial Planning and Analysis to ensure financial models are accurate; and ensure accurate group reporting for parent consolidations. This position also assumes leadership of all financial compliance cycles and audits during the fiscal year.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly consolidation of the Company, including balance sheet, P&L and cash flow. This includes adequately controlling the monthly results from the various sources to the final reporting system and eliminating intercompany charges. Ensure data integrity and appropriate reconciliation points in the monthly process are in place.
- Prepare the Company’s monthly financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. Prepare required parent reporting in accordance with HGB (German GAAP). Oversee the month end close process and transaction flows to ensure accuracy and ensure accounts are reconciled timely.
- Supervise Finance management and their teams responsible for daily accounting and reporting and legal compliance. Mentor, coach and develop both the leaders and their team members to successfully deliver high quality financial reports and a clear understanding of financial health.
- As the Record-to-Report process owner, act as the overall Finance contact for all projects associated with Turck Inc’s management information systems, integrations and process changes by collaborating with Finance and Controlling process owners and key users. Maintain the IT roadmap for Finance. Drive closure of service tickets and change requests and ensure impact to accounting transactions is documented and understood. Lead efforts to document Finance SAP processes.
- Drive automation and simplification of Finance processes and continually assess optimization and digital transformation opportunities.
- Lead all efforts associated with global accounting and legal reporting integration.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, tax-related issues, policies, work procedures and instructions. Assist with the preparation of reports required by regulatory agencies. Assist and interface directly with the annual audit process as conducted by the Company’s preferred external agency. Lead bank and tax compliance reporting and periodic audits.
- Research, assess and implement complex accounting issues that may affect the Company.
- Develop and oversee execution of procedures that will ensure accuracy of the financial transactions and compliance with Company policies.
- Participation on cross-functional project teams as required.
- Other special projects as assigned by the executive team.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
- Four year accounting degree, with CPA certification
- 7+ years of experience in corporate finance and accounting for a medium-to-large manufacturing company with responsibility for financial statement preparation, month-end close, research and implementation of technical accounting issues, documentation of internal controls and leading audits and other compliance projects (or equivalent).
- 5+ years of experience at Director/Controller level or above
- 4+ years of experience in public accounting
- Must possess a broad business perspective and have a ‘hands-on’ and in-depth understanding of company financials
- Strong leadership and influencing skills
- Ability to work in a cross-functional matrix organization
- Strong business acumen, analytical and problem solving skills
- Superior communication, presentation and influencing skills (at all levels)

- Business level fluency in German and Spanish desirable.
