JOB SUMMARY:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Integration Engineer (Mulesoft) to join us as we expand our integration capabilities. Collaborating with business and IT stakeholders, the role focuses on developing, implementing and supporting integrations across the four corners of the business. 

You will be an expert in Mulesoft, API design, development and management, demonstrating significant expertise in the terms of integrations within an enterprise environment and fast-moving organisation. 

This is an excellent opportunity for an integration professional who thrives in complex enterprise environments and is passionate about cloud-first integration, modern APIs and automation. 

This role is on-site 5 days a week at either Fields End Business Park, Thurnscoe, Rotherham, or Westport, Ireland, with the option for hybrid working upon successful completion of probation period. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, test, and deploy enterprise-grade integration solutions using MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, reusable and robust integration solutions.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot integrations to ensure timely and accurate data exchanges aligned with agreed SLAs. 
  • Implement and promote best practices for modern API-led connectivity. 
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization through integrations and related technologies
  • Guide and support integration team colleagues by sharing best practices and offering technical training. 
  • Follow and enforce change management processes to ensure controlled implementation of platform changes. 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Mulesoft development and support, preferably in a supply chain or manufacturing environment. 
  • Proven experience with MuleSoft integration technologies, including Mule 4 runtime and DataWeave, and hands-on expertise across the Anypoint Platform — encompassing CloudHub 2.0, API Manager, Runtime Manager, Anypoint Exchange, Design CenterAnypoint Studio, and Anypoint Code Builder. 
  • Supporting tools and knowledge – Postman, JSON, XML, Rest APIs, Event APIs (Webhooks), RAML. 
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation for MuleSoft applications (e.g., using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps). 
  • In depth knowledge of best practices in API management in terms of performance and security (e.g. OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS, encryption) 
  • Experience integrating MuleSoft solutions with ERP, Salesforce, PIM, e-commerce platforms, and other enterprise business systems 
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging and performance tuning skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. 
  • Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across teams. 
  • Adaptability to changing technologies and environments. 

DESIRABLE SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Mulesoft Certification. 
  • Mulesoft Partner Manager. 
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation for MuleSoft applications (e.g., using Jenkins, GitHub). 
  • EDI transaction sets and standards. 
  • Infor M3. 
  • Experience with otherr iPaaS solutions (e.g. Boomi, Workato, AIS, SAP IS). 
  • Knowledge of ITIL principles and their application in IT service delivery is beneficial.
