Allied Talent Partners (ATP), a Three Cairns Group initiative, is a mission-driven, not-for-profit talent marketplace focused on solving the human capital bottlenecks slowing down sustainable development efforts in emerging economies, with an initial focus on Africa.  ATP connects vetted, experienced, context-relevant professionals to high-impact opportunities in energy access and sustainable development – strengthening local capacity and fuelling economic vitality. We specialize in fixed-term, deliverable-driven engagements – from interim leadership and generalist projects to niche technical expertise – handling project scoping, talent vetting and matching, contracting, payroll, and compliance so that our clients can focus on impact.

High-Level Overview

The client is seeking a Senior Developer with deep expertise in Distributed Renewable Energy (DRE) to shape the fund’s early-stage project pipeline and ensure readiness for execution. As the fund transitions from concept to fundraising and pipeline mobilization, this interim, fixed-term assignment will be pivotal in establishing a credible foundation for future investments.

The engagement will require flexibility, as the workload will vary—starting with a limited number of hours during the fund’s setup phase and increasing as the pipeline develops and fundraising progresses. Initial priorities will include pipeline development, due diligence, and pre-investment structuring, with responsibilities expanding as operational needs mature.

Ideal candidates will bring senior-level experience in off-grid and distributed solar project development across Africa, strong commercial acumen, and extensive regional networks. Success in this role requires the ability to integrate technical, financial, and regulatory perspectives to advance impact-driven renewable energy investments in emerging markets.
