Primary Duties:
- Responsible for the development of the production schedule and manufacturing plan consistent with finished product demand, resource availability, and inventory level objectives.
- Optimizes resource planning operations through reduced set ups, family scheduling, etc.
- Schedules the production of material through the plant to meet customer requirements and maintain inventory levels
- Provide information to and coordinates with Purchasing Department to aid in the schedule for consumption of component parts and glass
- Maintains open communication with customers, manufacturing and support personnel, and subcontractors to assure manufacturing plans are clearly understood and fulfilled
- Coordinates with Maintenance and Engineering for scheduled down-time, PMs, equipment upgrades, etc.
- Assists in coordinating engineering changes
- Participates in new product development programs
- Interfaces with NMI/GSC and schedules pre-customer release development runs
- Maintains accurate records and documentation for history and audit purposes
- Supports departmental activities by serving as backup for other Materials positions as required.
- Prepares and publishes daily and weekly schedules
- Develops 12 week plan by part number
- Maintains updated procedures in support of Pilkington Quality System Requirements
- Provides assistance to Purchasing to determine material usage per part for annual blanket order estimation
- Review work in process material status on production floor
- Conduct daily scheduling meetings
- Minimizes/eliminates obsolete material
- Participates in monthly/annual physical inventories
- Verifies Bill of Material and Routing accuracy
- Maintains the Material Master records
- On call 24/7 to respond to customer and scheduling questions
- Conducts all business affairs in accordance with Pilkington’s business philosophy and Standards of Business Conduct
- Responsible for following the Environmental, Quality, and Safety policies.
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in materials management or logistics operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of plant operations and production processes.
- Proven analytical abilities in forecasting and anticipating production needs and capacities.
- Skilled at solving practical problems and managing multiple priorities in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and foster collaboration across departments.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
- Experienced in using SAP or comparable ERP systems for materials and production management.
Qualifications Desired:
- 3-5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing environment
- Six Sigma Certification
- APICS Certification
- SAP S/4HANA
