As a Part-Time Education (K-12) Instructoryou'll join a team of educators who are committed to using the most up-to-date pedagogy, technology, and discipline-specific knowledge to create meaningful learning experiences. You'll teach in multiple modalities, stay current with new innovations in higher education, and play a vital role in helping out students succeed.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in education or a related field
  • Experience in K-12 schools
Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications:
  • K-12 Licensure
  • A minimum of 3 years K-12 teaching experience
  • A minimum of 3 years college teaching experience
  • Experience preferred in teaching one or more of the following courses: Introduction to Education; Education Foundations (historical, philosophical, political, legal and economic aspects of K-12 public education); Learning and Development; Culturally Responsive Education.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Demonstrated ability for high level or organization, prioritizing, and logical reasoning to use established procedures/policies in making decisions
  • Excellent spelling, punctuation, grammar and vocabulary skills
  • Competent skill in operating PC, printers, copiers, office equipment, and various types of software
  • Ability to work with and be able to assist a wide variety of persons from all socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds
