Material Planner and Production Scheduler

Unox, a global market leader in the production of high-end ovens and certified as a Great Place to Work® in Europe for the seventh consecutive year, is seeking a Material Planner and Production Scheduler to join our growing U.S. team. This is an on-site position based at our Denver, North Carolina facility (or insert correct city, if different), reporting directly to the Operations Manager. This role ensures seamless coordination between procurement, production, and sales targets—maintaining a steady flow of materials, cost-efficient purchasing, and on-time product delivery. The ideal candidate combines analytical thinking with a proactive, people-oriented approach that supports Unox’s culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end material flow, including manufacturing planning, purchasing transactions, and internal distribution.
  • Collaborate with the Production and Order Management Teams to align production schedules with sales forecasts.
  • Generate purchase orders, monitor material availability, and ensure timely supply to meet production goals.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure materials meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations.
  • Coordinate with internal departments on timelines, supplier payments, inventory control, and on-time delivery metrics.
  • Track production volume and customer demand to develop accurate production schedules.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for material or production delays.
  • Prepare cost estimates, performance reports, and forecasting updates.
  • Support lean management initiatives using Kanban, JUNJO, and Kaizen systems.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date ERP data on material flow, locations, and inbound deliveries.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and constructive feedback throughout the organization.
  • Comply with all health, safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in production scheduling, material planning, or procurement.
  • Strong understanding of Kaizen and Lean principles.
  • SAP experience required; experience with warehouse management systems preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities with a people-oriented, process-driven mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
