THE OPPORTUNITY – OFFSHORE SHUTDOWN MAINTENANCE FOCAL POINT

Required to provide dedicated maintenance support in the preparation and execution of offshore shutdown.

Initial Duration: 12-month PAYE contract

Location: Aberdeen office based with trips offshore required

Rate: TBC

Spirit Energy currently have a non-contractual hybrid working arrangement for all office-based workers.  There are 3 core days that must be worked in the office.  Tuesday and Wednesday are compulsory days and another day of the workers choosing.  The other 2 days can be either worked at home or in the office. 

AND NOW FOR THE TECHNICAL BIT…

In role, you will be required to:

  • Ensure all maintenance SAP Work Orders have all the relevant information, are accurate and ready to execute ahead of the shutdown
  • Support the Materials Focal Point, ensuring the correct materials are available
  • Work with the Onshore Maintenance Lead, supporting detailed reviews of the maintenance backlog and ensure key scopes are included in the shutdown plan
  • Support the Safety Critical Work that must be executed during the shutdown
  • Draft deferrals for any Safety Critical activities not to be executed during the shutdown
  • Work with the Shutdown- Operations Focal Point to develop an efficient ESD testing and blowdown trial strategy, gaining ICP agreement that all shutdown Verification tasks will be met.
  • Maintain the Critical Equipment Register, ensuring key scopes are included in the shutdown
  • Liaise closely with Maintenance Job Responsible Engineers, ensuring their scopes are prepared as per Work Management Process
  • Support the Flange Manager - closely liaising with the Team Lead Mechanical and Flange Manager throughout the Shutdown Process
  • Review and approve all Maintenance Workpacks
  • Ensure pre-shutdown offshore visits are completed to ensure 100% readiness
  • Prepare maintenance team rota for cover during key shutdown dates
  • Maintain close liaison with onshore Maintenance Lead supporting the asset and offshore Maintenance Supervisor and all Lead Technicians
  • Conduct regular visits offshore to ensure visibility across all shifts, providing regular shutdown updates
  • Support the Maintenance status updates at weekly shutdown meetings
  • Regular communication and working relationship with Shutdown Delivery Lead
  • Ensure work orders in SAP have all the scope detail and ready for execute
  • Liaise with the PSSR coordinator and advise of the PSSR process
  • Understand and ensure compliance with appropriate technical and Maintenance standards and specifications are met and adhered to.
  • Close liaison with EA3s and TAs to ensure all Technical Queries have been closed out and approved
  • Prepare all shutdown scope permits, working across disciplines (co-ordinating support from other disciplines as necessary), including presenting permits at Shutdown permit meetings.
  • Liaising with the REP co-ordinate efficient isolation strategies for all electrical work
  • Manage the production of annual ESD testing packs, utilising other discipline support as necessary

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Maintenance discipline competence for offshore assets
  • Experience dealing with the safe and efficient execution of work during shutdowns
  • Demonstrable experience of conducting thorough risk assessment, with a clear understanding of ALARP, acceptable risk and identification of suitable mitigating control
  • Experience and thorough understanding of how plant is safely re-instated using completions systems and PSSRs (Plant Re-instatement)
  • Ability to quickly adapt to the needs of the organisation during the Shutdown
  • Production and operations integrity awareness
  • Proficiency in the use of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint and have SAP Awareness
  • Strong safety awareness
  • Drive and performance delivery focus, embraces change and continual improvement
  • A collaborative style and focus on teamwork, with the ability to demonstrable cross discipline leadership capability
