Key Responsibilities and Daily Duties:
Business Development:
- Identify, pursue, and secure new commercial deposit relationships through proactive prospecting, cold-calling, and in-person visits.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients.
- Attend networking events, industry conferences, chamber of commerce meetings, and other events to build market presence.
Client Relationship Management:
- Manage a portfolio of commercial deposit clients, providing ongoing service and financial advice.
- Partner with Branch Operations, Commercial New Accounts and Commercial Lending Officers to deliver full banking solutions and an established commercial accounts knowledge base.
- Conduct regular client reviews to identify cross-sell opportunities and ensure client satisfaction.
Account Management:
- Facilitate the onboarding of new clients, ensuring a seamless transition and high service levels.
- Ensure compliance with KYC, BSA/AML, and all regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with operations and compliance teams to ensure account accuracy and proper documentation.
Internal Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Retail, Lending, and Operations teams to coordinate sales efforts and product offerings.
- Provide feedback to product and operations teams on market trends and client needs.
Compensation Package (Las Vegas Market):
Base Salary:
- $105,000 – $140,500/year, depending on experience and portfolio history.
Commission Structure:
- Tiered commissions based on new deposit balances brought in: (After one year of seasoned balances and 3 bps (.0003) after 2 years+ of seasoned balances
- 7 bps (.0007) on first $10 million
- 10 bps (.001) on next $10 – 15 million
- 13 bps (.0013) on next 15+ million
- Additional commissions for bringing in successfully funded commercial loans (based on commercial loan commission structure at time of closing)
Qualifications
Desirable Experience and Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Experience:
- 5–7 years of experience in commercial banking, business banking, or financial services with a strong emphasis on deposits and treasury management.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding deposit growth goals.
- Strong network of business contacts in the Las Vegas market is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of deposit products, treasury management, and commercial banking regulations.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
