Description

Trinity Extended Day (TED) Teacher

Trinity Episcopal School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Extended Day (TED) Teacher for the 2025-26 academic year. This is a 10-month, part-time position reporting directly to the Director of Auxiliary Services. TED Teachers play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for students during after-school hours. Responsibilities include supporting the daily operations of the Extended Day program, implementing age-appropriate activities, and working collaboratively with team members to enrich the overall school experience for our students.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2:30–6:00 p.m.
     
  • Additional Hours: Opportunities for extra hours during in-service days and early dismissal/partial school days
     

Ideal candidates will be child-centered, team-oriented, and committed to fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere for all students. The TED Teacher supports the work of the School by promoting the mission, values, and policies of Trinity Episcopal School.

 

Job Description

Teachers are responsible to:

  • Develop and nurture connections with Extended Day students 
  • Supervise students in grades K-8 during recess
  • Oversee homework
  • Organize activities relative to specific age groups 
  • Communicate concerns to parents and/or Director of Auxiliary Services

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus on education or related field is preferred, but not required
  • Successful experience in working with children, preferably in a constructivist or progressive education environment

Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to work with students in grades K-8th grade and to develop and maintain excellent working relationships across campus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills.
