Job Description
MiTek’s AI/ML Engineer Internship offers hands-on experience in cutting-edge technology, professional growth, and the opportunity to work on real-world AI solutions. If you're eager to apply your coding and data science skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment—this is the opportunity for you.Our program is a paid, 12-week program that will run from Monday, May 18th through Friday, August 7th. At MiTek, we embrace a hybrid work model that encourages innovation, collaboration, and connection. For internships that outside your current geographic location, we offer a $6,000 Intern Stipend to help cover your temporary housing and travel for the duration of the program.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
During the internship you will:
Contribute to AI/ML projects that enhance software capabilities and business solutions.
Gain experience in Python, SQL, and AI/ML libraries like TensorFlow, scikit-learn, NumPy, and pandas.
Work with cross-functional teams, including data science, engineering, and product teams.
Learn from experienced AI engineers and industry leaders.
Connect with professionals across MiTek and fellow interns.
Present your AI/ML projects and insights to senior leadership.
Essential Functions
Developing proof-of-concepts (POCs) and assisting with enterprise-level AI software solutions.
Applying AI/ML techniques to structured and unstructured data sets.
Coding in Python and SQL, leveraging AI/ML libraries to build and optimize models.
Collaborating with teams across data science, engineering, and product development to solve business challenges.
Learning and implementing best practices in AI/ML algorithms and techniques.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, AI/ML, Computer Science, or a related Engineering field.
Experience or coursework in Python, SQL, and AI/ML libraries (TensorFlow, scikit-learn, NumPy, pandas).
Strong understanding of AI/ML fundamentals, including common algorithms and best practices.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze data and develop AI-driven solutions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
