The Manager, Logistics Accounting, will lead the timely and accurate month-end Logistics accounting and reporting for the HelloFresh US brands.
This person will manage Senior Accountants and must possess the ability to influence business partners and effectively drive processes and improvements independently. The person in this position must be a strong collaborator and business partner and will work closely with teams within and outside of Finance, including the Logistics Operations team, the Accounts Payable team, the US FP&A team and the US Financial Reporting team. The person in this role should be experienced working with large data sets and distilling it into meaningful analysis, identifying and solving complex problems, leading process improvement projects and employing data analysis to ensure partners and leaders have the most up-to-date and reliable information.

Job Responsibilities include:
- Manage Senior Accountants to perform the Logistics Accounting month-end close duties for HF US brands, including recording and approving journal entries, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, performing actuals to cost reporting variance analysis, investigating and resolving anomalies, and performing key-controls.
- Partner with stakeholders and team to ensure completeness and accuracy of month end accruals
- Support staff in performing detailed validation of aged accrual balances and search for recorded liabilities in accordance with policy.
- Review P&L and balance sheet accounts and provide managers and stakeholders with insights into month-over-month trends.
- Drive the reconciliation of data discrepancies by supporting the team in deep-diving into the lowest level of detail and finding resolutions.
- Find efficiencies to help the team close the period faster and more accurately.
- Own variance analysis to cost reporting and budgets for specific areas of responsibilities.
- Support internal and external audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility.
- Update process documentation on an ongoing basis as needed.
- Review the work of staff and mentor them in their area of responsibility.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5-7 years professional accounting experience - mix of public accounting and industry accounting preferred
- IFRS and accounting principles knowledge
- Advanced spreadsheet (Excel and/or Google Sheets) and data manipulation skills
- Oracle, Tableau and SQL experience a plus
- Demonstrated financial acumen and analytical experience delivering variance analysis and data interpretation of results
The Analyst, Supply Chain planning will be responsible for managing the weekly tasks of menu planning along with implementing and driving strategy to enhance the operation. You will be tasked with leveraging data and developing tools and metrics to improve accuracy and efficiency in menu planning. The Analyst will be the primary liaison with key stakeholders across the operation to ensure weekly operational success and that strategic projects are driven forward. - Manage weekly tasks of menu planning, while liaising with key operational, product, and culinary stakeholders.
- With the support of your manager - identify, analyze, and drive strategic initiatives to enhance the operation.
- Develop/improve tools and support the creation of metrics to ensure recipe database health and improve reporting of menu planning weekly results.
- Work with the Analytics team to build out a more sophisticated planning models and tools to improve menu planning efficiency leveraging Python scripts & helping build out the data warehouse.

At a minimum, you have...
- 1-3 years’ experience delivering analytical solutions to complex problems
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Planning, Data Science, Computer Science, Accounting, or another relevant field of study
- Fluent in Microsoft Office applications and Google Suite applications (especially google sheets / google scripts). Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency required.
- Ability to work with multiple database systems and provide intelligence-driven conclusions
- Experience with Tableau, SQL, a significant plus
- Experience delivering actionable, data-driven insights.
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
