This role is not fully virtual - it will offer partial telework, but candidates must be able to work onsite in Irving, TX several days a week.
Role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support weekly and biweekly payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation.
- Load Supplemental pay files as requested, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve errors encountered during the payroll processing to maintain operational efficiency.
- Validate regression testing and coordinate error resolution, ensuring that any issues are addressed promptly.
- Assist with SAP file loads, facilitating seamless integration and accuracy in payroll data management.
- Respond to basic ad hoc query, providing necessary data and insights as needed.
- Collaborate with management during preparation for compliance audits and contribute to additional projects as required.
Candidates must have the ability to communicate effectively and possess a strong characteristic for attention to detail and accuracy. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate solving complex problems; organizing and prioritizing work demands to meet critical deadlines, making decisions with limited information, handling unexpected challenges, and strong teamwork skills, both verbal and written.
Basic Qualifications - to be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills and abilities listed below:
- High school diploma and 4 years of relevant education (e.g., business, accounting) and/or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft office suite (excel, word and PowerPoint)
- Payroll processing experience, including relevant regulatory requirements; internal policy and procedure; accounting practices; system software requirements
- Basic FLSA knowledge, federal and state laws, etc.
- Experience performing basic payroll calculations
- Willingness to pursue Certified Payroll Professional(CPP) Certification within two years of acceptance into the position.
Preferred Qualifications – candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
- Payroll experience
- Prior experience working in a shared service or center of excellence environment
- Experience with SAP systems and processes
