Duties

Plan, develop, coordinate, organize, publicize, and direct a large, diversified installation intramural sports program. Offer numerous sports opportunities for service members to compete in tournaments and access higher-level competition.,Annually manages several major IMCOM Garrison requirements and coordinates support with other Garrison Directorates.,Supervise sports and fitness staff, equipment, and facility. Maintain an effective safety and accident prevention program. Conduct daily maintenance checks. Recommend equipment purchases and ensuring compliance with program regulatory requirements.,Schedule and coordinate Garrison promotional events with the local community. Coordinate program publications and disseminate information through the MWR Marketing and Garrison PAO distribution channels.,Submit and justify budgetary and manpower requirements. Monitor contracts for the intramural sports program. Determine necessary supplies and equipment and initiating requisitions to ensure effective and efficient program operations.,Prepare performance appraisals. Inform employees of management goals and objectives. Write and prepare reports. Coordinate intramural sports program with other DFMWR activities. Attend meetings, review and update local policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Demonstrated experience in planning, supervising, administering, or carrying out a sports program that included a variety of individual and team sports. This experience may have been gained managing or administering a sports program in a community, industrial activity, school or college; or planning, or evaluating a physical education curriculum, for a secondary or higher academic level. Experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience may be substituted with a four-year degree with an emphasis related to the duties performed e.g. physical education/sports/fitness/recreation etc. NOTE: The above minimum qualifications must be described within the duties of previous work experience listed on the applicant's resume and/or supporting documents. A copy of all documents must be submitted at the time of application.

Allowances and Differentials This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
