The AZEK Market Development Manager - Railing is responsible for generating awareness of, creating demand for, and generating sales of AZEK's Railing products among architects, target builders, target multi-family/commercial developers, remodelers, and contractors/installers in their geographic area of responsibility. The Market Development Manager is self-motivated, energetic, confident, out-going sales professional with 5+ years of documented successful building products or related manufacturing sales experience (either inside or outside), college educated a plus, with a good driving record. Responsible to work a finite geographical area with overnight travel calling on builders, contractors, architects, multi-family and light commercial developers to educate and drive demand at these levels.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  •  Develop and implement sales strategies and vision to increase business
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with dealer management and make regular sales calls on these accounts to align objectives 
  • Meet with end users to generate awareness and understanding of AZEK's Railing products and convert them to ongoing customers.
  • Secure projects/sales
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local dealer sales and customer representatives
  • Be the railing expert in the assigned territory providing infield training to installers, dealer sales representatives and the AZEK Sales Team

  • In general, the core of this position requires a motivated and motivating team builder and organization developer.

Requirement:

  • College degree required (sales, marketing, business).
  • 5+ years sales experience a plus but not mandatory.
  • Must be energetic, self-starter with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in building industry, or work as a contractor seen as a huge plus.
  • Must be dependable and professional and a motivated self-starter.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.  The annual salary for this position ranges from $110,000 in our lowest geographic market to $125,000 in our highest geographic market.  The pay for roles at Azek varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific work location, role, skill set and level of experience.  In addition to base salary, we offer generous bonus and incentive opportunities that significantly increase earning potential.
