Job Position: Level 1 IT Technician

 

Position Overview:

CamNet Inc. is looking for self-motivated people with a positive attitude to join our company. They must be able to promote the company, co-workers, clients, and partners.

The Level 1 IT Technician provides first-line technical support to end users and clients, ensuring the efficient operation of hardware, software, and network systems. This position is responsible for responding to service requests, troubleshooting issues, and escalating incidents as necessary. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and a desire to grow within a dynamic Managed Services environment.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for technical support inquiries, providing timely and professional assistance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve common hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Log and manage all support tickets, ensuring accurate documentation and prompt escalation when required.
  • Assist with the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of desktop computers, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Conduct routine system checks, updates, and basic preventive maintenance.
  • Address network-related issues, including Wi-Fi connectivity, printer access, and peripheral setup.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to gather information, clarify issues, and provide clear resolutions or updates.
  • Perform remote and occasional onsite support as directed.
  • Maintain thorough records of all support activities, including resolutions and follow-up actions.
  • Support user account management functions such as password resets and access provisioning.
  • Contribute to internal documentation and assist in the development of user guides and knowledge base articles.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Some travel throughout the state
  • Security/Criminal Background Check

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Foundational understanding of networking principles, including IP addressing, DNS, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service–focused approach.
  • Ability to follow established procedures, manage priorities, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining accurate records and documentation.
