Our challenge
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Discovery/SACM Architect specializing in ServiceNow Discovery, with a particular focus on Cloud discovery. In this role, candidate will be responsible for designing and recommending technical solutions for business needs within the SACM/Discovery domain, ensuring effective implementation and optimization of ServiceNow Discovery and related cloud discovery capabilities.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $120k - $130k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Lead solution design for ServiceNow Discovery and SACM processes, focusing on cloud environments.
- Provide expert technical recommendations aligned with business requirements and best practices.
- Design and implement discovery strategies, including hardware, software, and cloud asset discovery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into scalable, efficient discovery solutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation for discovery processes, configurations, and architecture.
- Stay abreast of the latest ServiceNow features, cloud discovery advancements, and industry best practices.
- Assist in the integration of Discovery with other ITSM processes and tools.
- Perform gap analysis and recommend improvements to existing discovery solutions.
- Ensure compliance with security and governance standards related to discovery and cloud management.
Requirements:
- Proven extensive experience with ServiceNow Discovery, particularly Cloud Discovery.
- In-depth understanding of CSDM (Configuration Management Database) and CDM (Configuration Data Model).
- Strong knowledge of cloud concepts, including hardware and software discovery in cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with designing and implementing complex discovery solutions.
- Solid understanding of IT asset management, configuration management, and service management best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver innovative solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- ServiceNow certifications related to Discovery, System Administration, or Cloud Management are a plus.
Preferred, but not required:
- Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of scripting and integration methods to enhance Discovery capabilities.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture and IT workflows.
