AT&T is seeking a Lead Member of Technical Staff to join our device technology and analytics team. In this critical role, you will architect, develop, and deliver advanced analytics platforms and APIs that drive converged customer insights, enable machine learning and AI-powered solutions, and support AT&T’s network performance and customer experience strategies. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to accelerate high-priority initiatives and support our Guarantee, Wi-Fi, and device performance monitoring programs.
What you’ll do:
- Build and optimize ML/AI models to analyze customer usage patterns, network load, and device behavior, informing business and technical requirements.
- Develop software solutions for device fingerprinting, customer analytics, and application performance tracking across converged and AIA customers.
- Partner with engineering, RAN, and Guarantee teams to deliver reliable device and network performance information.
- Establish and maintain customer experience benchmarks and reporting systems.
- Monitor and support Wi-Fi trials, performance analytics, and related strategic initiatives.
- Ensure high standards of data privacy, security, and compliance in all software solutions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize deliverables, and drive key projects to completion.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and document systems to support operational excellence and knowledge transfer.
What you’ll need:
- Experience developing and deploying APIs and data-driven software solutions at scale.
- Strong background in data science, machine learning, or analytics, with hands-on coding skills (Python, Java, or similar).
- Proven ability to deliver complex projects on time while coordinating across multiple teams.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, device telemetry, and performance monitoring.
- Experience working with cloud platforms, data pipelines, and secure data handling.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-priority environment with shifting priorities.
What you’ll bring:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in software development, data analytics, or related technical fields.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and delivering data science tools or APIs.
- Experience supporting large-scale, customer-facing platforms and solutions.
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
- PhD in an approved field from an approved university with no minimum years of relevant experience or Masters in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelors in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Our Lead Member of Technical Staff, earns between
$171,600.00 - $275,900.00 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
