As a Digital Sales intern, you will be part of Digital Sales team for Personal Lines area, reporting to Senior Manager. You would support the development and enhancement of our sales platform for Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance, leveraging AI technologies to optimize customer engagement and sales processes. The role involves assisting with backend integration, API development, and implementing machine learning solutions to drive platform innovation. You will collaborate with a full stack team to develop web applications that assist customers in writing new insurance policies for auto and home lines of business for agent and customer application. This role offers a hands-on experience with impactful projects that directly enhance customer service and business operations.
Responsibilities
• Utilize your understanding of Java, React, Node JS and cloud solutions to create responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
• Work on different aspects of layered architecture with focus on backend integrations to support the build out of dynamic web applications.
• Use Git for version control and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Contributes to robust and innovative strategic solutions and builds resilient support for next-generation systems to solve business challenges.
• Apply Cloud software engineering principles and practices across a range of systems / technologies
• Maintain work efficiency and respond positively to a changing environment. Generate creative ideas and actions in response to changing situations.
• Develop an understanding of American Family's business environments, corporate culture and structure to support work initiatives.
• Contribute creative ideas and strategic approaches in response to changing situations.
Requirements
• Must be in student status at an accredited 4-year college or university during the internship, graduating August 2026 or later.
• Must be pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD.
• Major/program must align with internship role.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Knowledge on Java, NodeJS, Express is beneficial
• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks like React or Angular.
• Understanding of Git and version control workflows using AWS solutions
• A strong desire to work on web applications and learn new technologies
• Aptitude for problem-solving skills and interest in backend development and automation.
