The Warrensville Heights City School Board of Education is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Treasurer. The Board seeks an outstanding administrator who will continue the focus on excellence, communications, trust, and transparency and be a strategic partner with the Board and Superintendent. The Warrensville Heights School District is in Cuyahoga County with approximately 2000 students in grades pre-K through 12. The district serves students through a preschool program. Warrensville Heights is a 3.5 star district with high expectations and outstanding community support.
The District’s Mission is to create an educational environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, communication and collaboration while empowering scholars to be responsible, contributing members of our community, nation and world.
The district prides themselves in providing an inclusive educational experience. In addition to their core academic programs, they offer a variety of extracurricular and supplemental programs to enrich every scholar’s education, including implementing STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) curriculum and emphasizing college readiness, community partnerships, and classroom technology devoted to providing its scholars, the greatest academic opportunities and experiences.
The following qualifications are the minimum skills expected in a successful candidate.
- Prior School Treasurer/CFO experience is preferred
- An excellent communicator- both verbal and written skills
- Holds a valid Ohio Treasurer’s License and understands Ohio school finance
- A collaborative and strategic leader
- Willingness to actively engage the community and various organizations
- Values teamwork
- Relationship builder who can build trust
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective interactions with the Board of Education, staff, students, parents, and the community
- Ability to foster and maintain an atmosphere of respect and trust.
- Experience with COPs, financing, bond experience preferred.
- Can lead a staff of 6
- Maintain great relationships with the partnerships in the community and local governing officials
ESC/Finding Leaders offers comprehensive support in planning, recruiting, and transitioning leadership, assisting in the creation of a leadership transition plan and guiding the board through candidate selection.
