What You'll Do:
- Monthly Financial Close: Own the P&L for specific warehouse facilities, prepare expense accruals, and deliver financial analysis/summaries for site leaders, highlighting key takeaways for performance improvement.
- Operational Support: Provide daily and weekly support, including vendor payments, accounts payable support, and analysis of ongoing operations.
- Trend & Variance Analysis: Support the Operations team by analyzing financial trends and completing detailed variance analysis.
- Reporting & Presentation: Develop concise and insightful analyses and reports, and present findings clearly to management.
- Controls & Compliance: Design and implement financial controls to ensure profitability goals are met, and support internal/external audit requests.
- Process Improvement: Continually seek to improve processes, drive change, and make recommendations to leadership to standardize and improve efficiencies.
- Collaboration: Maintain ongoing partnership with other Field Analysts, Accounting partners, and Operations business leaders.
What You Bring to the Table:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in a finance or accounting-related position.
- A highly motivated, detail-oriented professional mindset with strong analytical skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines during the financial close.
- An independent performer capable of making appropriate decisions and comfortable operating in a changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills (written and verbal) to act as a trusted business partner to Operations.
- Strong skillset in Microsoft Office (Excel).
- General ledger knowledge in financial systems such as SAP and Coupa are beneficial.
