The Merced County Office of Education assists Merced County’s 20 school districts through support and oversight of curriculum and instruction, alternative education, business services, early education, technology, migrant education, special education, and teacher credentialing. MCOE is led by the elected Merced County Superintendent of Schools and governed by the Merced County Board of Education. While serving as a focal point to facilitate local school/government/community partnerships, MCOE is responsible for the fiscal oversight of each school district in Merced County, hears appeals for student expulsion hearings and interdistrict transfers and operates Green Meadows Outdoor School.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a high school diploma or recognized equivalent plus additional on the job training or college coursework in computer science or related technical field, and two years of experience in personal computer technical support, including installing software and assembling hardware, experience troubleshooting configuration problems, and performing minor repairs. DMV H6 printout Proof of auto insurance Must pass strength test SUMMARY: Under general direction of the assigned supervisor, the IT User Support Technician installs, configures, troubleshoots, and services networked microcomputer workstations and related equipment and software used in administrative and classroom lab environments. Provides technical support and help functions that relate to computer hardware and software, data communications, and connectivity. This position performs basic network operations, account setup applying existing computer security and user access rules, and hardware diagnostics.

$5,780. - $6,633 monthly (Maximum entry salary is step 3 at $6,191. per month)
