Title: Loan Processor

Department: Loan Services

Reports To: Loan Services Manager

Schedule: Varies                

Location:  Main Branch, Nonconnah

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Internal Pay Grade: 8

Responsibilities:
  1. Serve our members.
  2. Maintain up to date knowledge on loan processing of consumer, real estate and business lending products including industry, and regulatory updates and trends.
  3. Perform processing functions including document preparation, delivery through electronic signature, loan disbursement, and payroll deduction setup.
  4. Prepare all federally regulated disclosures on home equity loans according to regulations.
  5. Perform other aspects of loan processing including processing payoffs, scanning, and GL postings.
  6. Review loan documents post-close for efficacy and maintain low loan errors.
  7. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that shows confidence, confidentiality and professionalism with members, vendors, coworkers and management.
  8. Must maintain strictly confidential information pertaining to the Credit Association, member, and employee business.
  9. Maintains regulatory compliance including the Bank Secrecy Act.
  10. Ensures self and all direct reports follow the CARE and QA Service Standards and maintain excellent understanding of FECA products and services.
  11. Participates in ongoing training for professional and personal development.
  12. Maintains a positive, professional attitude and works well with a team.
  13. All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent higher level management work experience required.
  2. At least one year financial institution experience required, with credit union experience preferred,
  3. At least one year of loan processing experience required.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication and basic math skills.
  5. Must be accurate, organized, attentive to details, and manage time well.
  6. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
